My observation would be that individual talent has more to do with individual ability to "think" then any actual talent. A great shooter does not make a great shooting instructer by default, they have to be able to present it in a clear and understandable way to others. For good SFA, you have to be able to think how the host forces can best deal w/ the situation rather then falling by default into how American forces would deal with it (i.e. airstrike).
