Default Role-based Hierarchy

The following article was written by a Portuguese Army artillery officer. He submits that 4th generation warfare requires a force comprised of persons with tertiary education and military training based on commissioned officer models. Role-based hierarchy where everyone is basically an officer. Strangely he points to Kaisers Army officer corps in the 20th century as an example after blasting the industrial military mindset. Still worth a read.
