Illuminates the schism within the Muslim faith.
    Absolutely correct.

And the topic of Masonry is completely absurd. I am a Mason, separate and apart from being a Christian of the Protestant persuasion. Masonry is not a religion but a good works society. Examples: There exist today several Masonic funded burn hospitals in the USA. Childrens orphanages. Free Masonic nursing home for the elderly survivors of past members of the Masonic Order. In Tennessee the Masonic Grand Lodge of all of Tennessee is jointly funding together with Habitat for Humanity construction of homes for the poor. Nothing there about a "New World Order." That topic comes under the subheading "Attempts using violence to recreate a Caliphate."

Religious groups likewise do similar good works as a spin off of their faiths. But Masonry is not a religion. Nor are the Taliban and al Qaida a religion, but they "pretend" to be one. The terrorists are heretics to the true spirit and name of Islam, which means peace.

Well this particular guy seems to be an Islamist, probably Iranian. I still think, if this guy's view is representative of Shia Muslims, that it betrays gross ignorance. Not the harmless kind.

Uh, what makes you think that site is particularly representative of Shia Islam?

Most prominent Shia ayatollahs have websites, you know. Here's Grand Ayatollah Ali al-Sistani's.

    Here's a prominent Shia Islamist's.

    Here's some major Shia reformists.

I didn't mean the site in general just the guy they asked in their "Ask a Shia" series of posts. Also I am not saying it is representative just that it would be disturbing if it were.

But that's exactly what They want us to think!

Within the Catholic Church, you have a multitude of opinions and interpretations, despite having (doctrinally) a single, definative authority; the Pope.
Even limiting the discussion to Shi'a, there is no definative authority, and the culture appears to value divisive and contrarian behavior. Any site claiming Shi'a religious authority doesn't impress me much, anymore.
