Default RFI: Bagnold info (Long Range Desert Group)

I finally realised that Brigadier Ralph Bagnold is a key figure for my research and would like to know whether anybody has substantial info on Bagnold, or about the tactics and logistics of the Long Range Desert Group.

    Fuchs,

Maybe worth looking at Jon Custis project's website, albeit on a WW2 SAS navigator:http://mikesadlerproject.blogspot.co.uk/

The name is not familiar to me, but those who read the RFI might be interested in this short obituary:http://www.bagnallvillage.com/Biogra...lphBagnold.htm

Interesting to note it starts with:
leading authority on mechanics of sedimentary transport and eolian (wind effect) processes and instigator of the Long Range Desert Group
With contemporary application in the Sahel.
