I know this donkey that lives with 11 horses in a small herd. She keeps to herself at the edge of the herd because she gets picked on. The remarkable thing about her is that if one of the horses is injured or sick and can't keep up with the herd, this donkey will stay by it and, it looks to me, guard it. Then when the horse is recovered it will rejoin the herd and the donkey will be on her own again.

If animals can be saints this donkey qualifies.
