Growing anticipation of Turks about the coming Wikileaks data dump of over 500K government/AKP emails and documents as those that do not support Erdogan hope to finally see some of what has been driving to cover up his and his family's corruption activates....

There are constant social media tips on how to over come the Turkish government shutdown of the net when they are leaked.......

Turkey's PM confirms in speech that an official request for Gulen's extradition was sent to the #US

Hello...anyone home in the Turkish government....US stated request with solid court reviewable evidence...not just a "request"........

Turkey pulled the same stunt when a German comedian was viewed as slandering Erdogan...they sent a request for his arrest.....Erdogan does not seem to quite understand Western law......

This is exactly what triggered the first round of serious Gezi demonstrations against Erdogan and which then led to charge of corruption against him and his son....over the construction contracts....

There is a persistent rumor going around that there are some missing Turkish naval vessels but nothing with names and then this.......the Admirals have not come out and clearly supported Erdogan as of yet....

Those admirals are close to Southern Division command officers - biggest threat to Erdogan.

Well it now appears that Erdogan and his regime is in fact Takfirist...as they are denying a Muslim a Muslim burial.....only the Takfirists can do that.....

Turkish Religious Affairs says mosques will not give religious services, won't do funeral praying for coup plotters.

The scale of the purge is Stalinist, minus of course the Vysshaya Mera Nakazaniya: 1/3 of the military leadership and 1/3 of the judiciary. Now civil servants and educators are caught up in the widening purge...

There is talk of Erdogan creating an Islamist paramilitary loyal to the AKP and of establishing a garrison in Gezi Park, the better to control Istanbul.

There seems to be no mechanism in place to prevent Erdogan from becoming an authoritarian supreme leader. After the "convenient" Daesh attacks that secured the AKP's election victory, I doubt that the Turkish people will be trusted to choose wisely again...

Default Yeni Safak is on a roll...

Now, Yeni Safak claims that the coup plotters were part of the "FET/PDY terrorist organization".

Sounds suspiciously like the case of the Trotskyite-Zinovievite Terrorist Center, does it not?

Azor....now you are getting the game Erdogan has been playing together with IS....he allowed a massive flow of IS fighters to clear through turkey into Syria as they were "viewed as fighting Assad", he allowed them to R&R inside Syria, then "fell into line" when the US applied pressure on him to fight IS but realize he never really did clamp down on them inside Turkey and he has really never broken close ties to Russia all the while "selling himself" as the coming restorer of the Ottoman Emprise...

He supported Is close anti Assad forces in and around Aleppo to keep the other anti Assad forces ie FSA in line and dependent on his resupply......

AND then when they were under massive Assad, Putin and Iranian pressure he does nothing for them after leading them on for over 5 years......

Right now the heavy weapons/munitions flow into the anti Assad forces are coming via the UAE and KSA....not Turkey.

This sums up what many Turks think....that are not AKP supporters and that is about 60% of the country right now.......Erdogan plays to the right wing of Islam and the more conservative areas or Turkey and he definitely wants a non secular Turkey.....

I track this commenter for a number of years now.......

    Gnaydın!

We seriously now have to look at the role of the Muslim Brotherhood and their ties to the AKP....

Hopefully the data dump announced by WikiLeaks will shed some light on a number of the corruption affairs Erdogan was/is tied into and the MB.....

    Hassan Hassan @hxhassan
It might be easier if Ankara just releases a list of people not involved in the coup plot.

Default Inside Story - What's behind Turkey's failed coup?

Watching this program on Al Jazeera.

    https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=p_yN41SN_FI

A Turkish defense analyst, Can Kasapoglu, explains that, "two and three star generals", attempted to dissuade soldiers from obeying orders from the coup plotters. Kasapoglu then crowed that only one senior officer (Ozturk) was involved in the coup and that the Turkish people were aware that the Turkish military did not support the coup.

If this is the case, then why were 1/3 of senior officers purged?

Also, to Outlaw 09, do you think that the Diyarbakir Rally bombing was done by Daesh or by Erdogan/AKP partisans who wanted to halt the HDP's progress? It would be reminiscent of the Russian apartment buildings in '99...
