Two arrested in Tallinn bomb scare

We had just been called out when the local police raid discovered 'yellowish stuff' under the guy's bed. 23 kilos of military grade comp. B. and one ready to go IED complete with detonator (the majority of the explosives came from WWII ordnance, dug out one shell at a time).

This time around, instead of silencing the press, together we decided to try turning the tables and see just how hungry the bomb maker's friends would be if a reward was posted together with photos of the suspects.

In seven days, the two turned themselves in. Perhaps there is hope for our tiny little place.

Police have arrested two people suspected of stockpiling more than 20 kilograms of explosives in a Tallinn apartment.

Officers investigating a robbery found a large quantity of an explosive, believed to be TNT, in a third floor apartment in a building in Joe Street near Tallinn’s harbour on March 12. The discovery triggered a major operation to clear the building.

Two people have now handed themselves in for questioning after their names were broadcast. Alexei Golubtsov and Yulia Bratyna were taken into custody, while a third man, Vladimir Muravyov, is still wanted for questioning.

More than likely organized crime. The IED was larger than an anti-tank mine and contained almost twice the amount of HE.

The folks that turned themselves in weren't rocket scientists

So, made to either sell or ordered from a customer. There's been a lot of speculation, that our Eastern trading partners order routinely from Estonia.

But only speculative thus far. The controls at the border, thanks in greater part to US assistance X-ray every vehicle. However, Pepsi lake once frozen is a large and true source of concern for border crossing. Even the wolves from Russian come across

We feel the third guy is the missing link.

A woman listed by police as one of three potential suspects in an investigation opened following the seizure of a large amount of explosives in an apartment close to Tallinn's passenger harbor last week has turned herself in to the police, Eesti Paevaleht reported. Gerrit Maesalu, spokesman for the district prosecutor's office, said that 27-year-old Yulia Bratyna arrived at the South precinct police station of the North prefecture Friday evening and was taken into custody. The first of the trio wanted by the police, Alexei Golubtsov, 36, turned himself in on Thursday afternoon. Vladimir Muravyov, 34-year-old live-in partner of Bratyna, remains at large. Police investigating a robbery found a large quantity of an explosive believed to be TNT in a third-floor apartment of an office and apartment block in Joe street in Tallinn's harbor district last Monday. Some sources have said that up to 20 kilograms of the explosive was found. An investigation has been launched by the North district prosecutor's office and the North prefecture in collaboration with the security police.
