What is the situation in Afghanistan, six years after the fall of the Taliban and the major international intervention? Is the international presence in Afghanistan making progress? How should "progress" be defined and evaluated? What would a "successful" outcome look like, and what are the requirements and prospects for achieving it?
On 10-11 December 2007, several of the world's leading experts on Afghanistan and analysts of peacebuilding will gather in Ottawa to explore these questions.
